Your best chance for seeing Neptune again may involve a telescope, as Veronica Mars herself is bearish on the prospect of a big-screen follow-up to the cult TV series. “There is no future, unfortunately,” Bell tells MTV.com, when asked about the rumored Mars movie. “Everybody’s really, really sad to see it go…. [But] she has been laid to rest [and] may she rest in peace.”

Although Bell says she has yet to be involved in a single discussion about possibly revisiting her supersleuther via the silver screen, she won’t rule out the notion of one day getting her PI on again. “Depends on how well I age,” she quips, making us miss her delivery and wit all the more.
