HEROES star MASI OKA has hinted he is dating his new co-star KRISTEN BELL. Oka, 32, accompanied Bell to the Emmys Award Ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night (16Sep07) after his mother refused to join him on the red carpet. And the actor admits he is in awe of the new addition to the hit TV show. He says, “Kristin is an absolutely amazing individual both on and off screen. We’re great friends. Everyone has a crush on her. “I’m looking for love myself and I haven’t had much luck there.”

Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears should take sitting lessons from new “Heroes” star Kristen Bell. Those three celebs are forever showing off their panties (or worse) when photographed sitting in cars, at parties or just getting off a boat in Venice.

But Kristen must have majored in Etiquette 101: Sitting Without Showing. Even seated on a very low couch and wearing a very short skirt at the EW pre-Emmy bash with Masi Oka, she still looks every inch a young lady. Talk about super powers!

BuddyTV has made an exclusive interview with Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz and he talked about Kristen’s voiceover.

And with Gossip Girl, whose decision initially was it to have Kristen Bell do the voiceover? And will she continue to do that throughout the season?
She will continue to do it. I think there was a bunch of names of people who might we go to, and Kristen was the first person we jumped at, and it worked out. We were thrilled and I guess she was, she read the script or she read the books, I’m not sure. But she was really excited as well, and she’s awesome. She’s, you know it’s voiceover, but it brings a really distinct kind of flavor to the show. The way she delivers it, and we couldn’t be happier that she’s doing it.

I have to agree. When I watched the pilot, the first time you hear Kristen Bell’s voice, you just kind of like light up because…
She’s got a great voice, and she does it with a real kind of fun, and she’s such an intelligent performer. You get that sense from her doing voiceover, I think she’s great.

The New York Post has posted a little note about Kristen’s Emmy dress (”The blue period ran the gamut from Kristen Bell’s cornflower Grecian toga to Tina Fey’s navy Carolina Herrera”) and a big article about her role on heroes:

Kristen Bell, the sunny star of the cult TV fave, didn’t think she’d have a job this fall – especially after the CW kept “Veronica Mars” hanging in the balance until the absolute last second, not announcing the show’s cancellation until well after it announced its fall lineup.

“There was about a month when I was taking meetings every day and going on audition after audition,” says Bell, 27. “I thought, maybe I won’t have a job this fall. I can accept that and I can still be happy.”

Meanwhile, television producers were knocking each other over to hire her.

In the first week of August, Internet wags reported that Bell, who had signed on to narrate the new CW series “Gossip Girl,” was a lock to join the cast of ABC’s “Lost.” Two weeks later, these magpies were choking on their words when NBC announced that Bell would be joining their hit serial drama “Heroes,” for a 13-episode arc this fall.

On the eve of her October debut on “Heroes,” Bell reveals that “Lost” producers never actually offered her the role.

“I didn’t hear about the ‘Lost’ rumors until they were already on the Internet. [Then] I knew I was being considered for [that show], but ‘Heroes’ came along and made the offer,” she says.

That offer was definitely put on the fast track by Bell’s connections to many of the folks at the NBC series. She’s friends with Zachary Quinto (Sylar) and Masi Oka (Hiro), and has known Hayden Panettiere (Claire) since she was 18 because they shared a manager (”Kristen likes to say she practically changed my diapers,” quips Panettiere).
