Heroes: NBC’s sci-fi drama from the producer Tim Kring was originally planning to open a new arc titled “Villains” in early 2008. Since the studio would probably not be able to film more than 3 new episodes this season, NBC is expected to delay the return of the drama till September, when season 3 launches. Next season may however contain more than the standard 22-23 episodes.
Gossip Girl: The CW’s teen drama based on the series of bestselling books is expected to return in late April with the remaining 9 episodes. Under that scenario, the struggling network would extend its official TV season into the summer. “Gossip Girl” was the first freshman drama to receive a full-season pickup last October, and would possibly be the only hour-long drama to film a full season of 22 episodes.

Kristen Bell has the perfect TV role. And, no, it’s not the one you see her in, it’s the one you hear her in. The former “Veronica Mars” star has joined the cast of “Heroes.” (After appearing for the first time last week, you’ll see her next when her character returns in the Nov. 5 episode.)
But you can hear Bell in each and every episode of The CW’s “Gossip Girl.” She’s the voice of the unseen narrator.
“It’s sort of an easy deal for me because it’s not on camera,” Bell told TV critics in a conference call. “And I’ve always dreamt about having a job where I could go and show up in my jammies.”
At the very least, it’s a job that doesn’t require her to worry about hair and makeup.
“‘Gossip Girl’s’ been great,” Bell said. “I mean, I’ve known (executive producer) Josh Schwartz for a little bit and was sort of happy when they wanted me involved in it…. I love and support Josh, and it’s been a lot of fun.”
The show revolves around a group of rich prep-school kids on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. They’re 21st-century teens, so they’re completely plugged in to the Internet. And the never-seen Gossip Girl is the person behind a Web site that dishes all the dirt about the teenagers in this crowd.

BuddyTV has made an exclusive interview with Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz and he talked about Kristen’s voiceover.
And with Gossip Girl, whose decision initially was it to have Kristen Bell do the voiceover? And will she continue to do that throughout the season?
She will continue to do it. I think there was a bunch of names of people who might we go to, and Kristen was the first person we jumped at, and it worked out. We were thrilled and I guess she was, she read the script or she read the books, I’m not sure. But she was really excited as well, and she’s awesome. She’s, you know it’s voiceover, but it brings a really distinct kind of flavor to the show. The way she delivers it, and we couldn’t be happier that she’s doing it.
I have to agree. When I watched the pilot, the first time you hear Kristen Bell’s voice, you just kind of like light up because…
She’s got a great voice, and she does it with a real kind of fun, and she’s such an intelligent performer. You get that sense from her doing voiceover, I think she’s great.
Complete interview here.
Don’t forget to listen and watch Kristen on Gossip Girl (September 19th) and Heroes (September 24th).
We have another Gossip Girl video. At this time is easier to hear the Kristen voice.
