Kristen Talks to Health Magazine

Kristen Bell really opened up in her new interview in the January/February issue of Health magazine– if you’ve ever wondered about what makes her feel good, what she thinks about Hollywood beauties, and how she stays happy, here are your answers.

After reading what she had to say, I found Kristen Bell funnier and more delightful than ever. Not only is she super cool, but she has a down-to-earth perspective on beauty and health, which is more than rare in her town.

On Her Toned ‘Madonna Arms’ and Female Crush: “I love Madonna arms. I think women who look strong are breathtaking. I [lift] buckets [for the shoulders]-the shoulder is the key to making your arm look really well-rounded…I do three sets of biceps and three sets of triceps, that’s what works for me. My boyfriend doesn’t love it [if I] get too muscular, but if I had my way, I would look like Angela Bassett.”

On Never Depriving Herself: “I think you have to listen to your body. If you’re eyeing the cheesecake, just have a little bit. Work on being satisfied with one bite and not blacking out and having the entire pie-which I’ve fully done before.”

On Her Measurement of Health: “I never step on the scale, because I don’t believe weight is a measure of health. I have too many girlfriends who’ve been curvy and voluptuous and healthy in every possible way to take any of that body bullsh*t seriously.”

Crushing the dreams of perverts everywhere, Kristen Bell has revealed that she is not going to be buck-naked in the upcoming tease movie, Burlesque.

“I’m a burlesque dancer who’s an alcoholic, so I’m playing sexier than I’ve ever done before,” says the the former Veronica Mars star. “You won’t see me naked, wearing pasties and a G-string or anything. But you definitely won’t think of me as the girl next door either.”

Bell found the part in the Steve Antin-directed musical demanding. “It’s tough stuff because there’s a lot of dancing,” said the 29-year-old. “This strip club is run by Cher, and the girls look fantastic, especially Christina Aguilera, who just blows me away with her talent.

She added: “I’ve come to terms with the fact that I’m never going to look like her. I’m a little bit closer to an elf in Santa’s workshop. But I’m working on it.”

Burlesque arrives in theaters on Nov. 24. It stars Bell, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Hough, Eric Dane  and Cher.

Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel are teaming up on the big screen in ‘When in Rome,’ and we’re bringing you a sneak peek.

Kristen explains that her character is someone who “hasn’t found anyone [who's] swept her off her feet.”

She explains, “She goes to her sister’s wedding in Rome and meets Nick [played by Josh].”

“Neither of them is really looking for love, but you usually find it when you’re not looking for it. That’s just kind of what happens here,” Josh says about their characters.

In ‘When in Rome,’ Kristen’s character travels to Rome and impulsively steals magic coins from a love fountain. This causes her to be pursued by the men (played by Danny DeVito, Dax Shepard, Jon Heder and Will Arnett) who threw the coins into the fountain, while, at the same time, being pursued by reporter Nick. Her character has to ask, is Nick just pursuing her because she snatched his coin? Or is his interest genuine?

‘When in Rome’ hits theaters on January 29.
